Justin and his wife Lori are amazing people. It has been a pleasure doing business with them over the last couple of years. My mechanic retired and it was difficult to find somebody you can trust in this industry. After doing a lot of research and being fairly mechanically inclined myself I’ve determined Justin is by far the best mechanic in the Walnut Creek area. If there’s something he’s not comfortable repairing he will let you know. He’s never gone over an estimate that has been written up for me. I’ve spent several thousand dollars at his shop repairing personal vehicles and my employees vehicles. Worth every penny. There’s nothing he has not been able to fix for me.
I found myself in quite a predicament today. Fortunately, Justin’s Auto Care (JAC) was a mile away. I limped there on a flat. See, I got new wheels recently and did not realize I needed a pinwheel socket. Changing a flat is about as quick and easy as getting dressed in the morning. Well, as luck would have it, the new wheels also came with a spacer. What?? And one of the lug nuts decided to lock on the stud. Again, I was very fortunate that the guys at JAC were more than happy and willing to help me.

If I didn’t already have a regular mechanic, JAC’s would be my spot. Friendly guys, welcoming atmosphere, ready to lend a hand. I had no appointment and they were quite busy. Cars up on the racks, several more outside the garage.

If you’re not looking for the place, you’ll miss. Located on the backside of the Valero gas station, this garage is conveniently located. If ever I find myself in a bind or someone asks me for mechanic, JAC’s is at the top of my list.

Thank you, guys, so much for helping me out today. Not only did I learn something new about changing tires, I experienced some A+ customer service.
Justin & Laurie Spitzer (Justin’s Auto Care) are just wonderful. They ran a check on my ‘check engine light,’ found the issue, & made repairs. They are polite, knowledgeable, & quite straightforward, i.e., no b.s. to the customer.

Oh, they price fairly (my situation only took 1/2 hour, so they only charged me 1/2 of the standard 1 hour billing). I would highly recommend them to anyone. RGJW. p.s., besides, they now have a copy of my cookbook.
Driving on ygnacio valley road when my tire started going flat. Thank god at the Valero gas there was a repair shop. Even thought there were cars in the bay, Justin took my car right in and had my tire repaired in 20 minutes. That was faster than I ever got a tire repaired at Big-O or America’s Tire. Justin was life saver, thank you
Excellent service. I’ve been coming to this place for about a year and every single experience I’ve had has been positive. Every car problem I’ve had these people have dealt with quickly and professionally. In addition, they’ve alerted me when maintenance is due (most recently to replace my tires). I highly recommend them!
JAC is inside the Valero gas station convinience store, easy to miss if its your first time. Not your typical autoshop set-up (no waiting chairs, no wi-fi or courtesy cars, no free coffee), but I prefer no bells & whistles for an honest price.

The staff was fantastic to work with. It was so simple to make an appointment & drop/pickup the far. They were great about calling you to provide thorough updates and getting your full approval before starting any work.

My maintenence requests were simple, but there were quite alot of them. Oil change, air filter change, brake fluid change, transmission change, headlight change… and they even screwed in my bottom cover that was falling off. With the $50 coupon from their website, materials & labor was less than $300.

Affordable, efficient and honest… it seems BigBlue just found his favorite spa 🙂
We just took our third vehicle to JAC and have been using Justin’s services since it was Roseberry’s.
We had an electrical issue remedied and the vehicle is now back on the road.
Besides the fair pricing, it was a pleasure to be advised what work would be required and how much the final cost would be before any work started.
It’s also refreshing to find an auto repair shop that tells you what work you DO NOT need to do.
We highly recommend JAC and will continue to take our vehicles to them in the future.
I needed my general maintenance done on my car – breaks, oil, filters, & things of that nature checked and replaced. I have gone to big name auto spots and spent over $600 on a multitude of maintenance services but I decided to give Justin’s Auto Care a chance since it is just down the street from my home and I am so glad I did. 1st off I gave him a list of stuff I had done last time and would like checked – Justin gave me a call about 45 minutes after dropping it off to let me know I didn’t need half of the services I had done previously because my car is a new enough model that I wouldn’t need them for at least 50,000 miles so more then likely I didn’t need them done previously either. That’s just some honesty that you don’t find many places. After letting me know what actually needed done he said the car would be ready within 2 hours – and it was. At the end of the day my car was properly serviced within a few hours for a portion of the price I usually pay and I am a satisfied customer! I recommend going here if you need any car maintenance or repairs!
Our daughter’s car was making a clicking sound and seemed to be having some electrical issues. Justin identified the issues, fixing them quickly, for a reasonable price. We were impressed with the professionalism and really liked how accessible and close it is to us. We will definitely be back!
Just had a top notch experience here yesterday. I was looking to buy a car off Craigslist and checked Yelp for respectable mechanics nearby the car to get it checked out. Greg was polite on the phone and when I got there was even better. He checked a few things on the car and met the seller and then discreetly pulled me aside to let me know a few of his concerns. And this was before I paid him anything. In fact, he recommended I get a few things checked out BEFORE I gave him any money. He walked me through some of the pitfalls of car buying and gave me some tips on this specific model and explained his red flags. I ended up not buying the car or even paying Greg anything. And since I don’t live in his city I will likely not ever get the chance to take a car here for repair. But you definitely should! An honest mechanic is gold these days.
This is where a mechanic takes his vehicle to get fixed. I am a home mechanic that is living in a apartment complex and can not work on my vehicle at home. I am very skeptical when I want to leave my vehicle with a mechanic because I know how long it should take and what parts should cost. I have had several services done by JAC’s and have been extremely satisfied with the pricing and the work done. This is a place that is hands down the best shop in the East Bay. I have had my fuel pump, radiator, thermostat, valve cover gaskets, and flywheel replaced here. I have had some work that another mechanic from another place messed up fixed here. They have done everything right and have been honest and fair with their pricing. I have friends at the same apartment complex that take their vehicle there and I would recommend this place to anyone.
These guys have been my mechanic for 15 years, starting when they were still Roesbery and now that it’s JAC. They are honest, efficient, and do quality work every single time, whether it’s a big repair or something minor. Just today, I put a new battery in my wife’s car. The posts were narrower than on the previous battery and the cables wouldn’t tighten around them. I dropped in an explained the problem. They had it fixed in less than 10 minutes.

On the honesty front, there have been plenty of opportunities to soak me, making big repairs that weren’t needed. It has never happened. Even when I assumed the repair would be pricey, they’ve let me know it is, in fact, minor.

Another characteristic of JAC: You’ll NEVER be surprised. If something comes up that’ll cost more, they call and let you know.

These are the guys you dream of for auto repair.
