US Post Office – 5515 Pacific St, Rocklin CA 95677
We needed help with a vandalized mailbox at a commercial property. The post office fixed the box quickly and delivered new keys to our tenants. Thanks for great service.
I have a package that’s apparently been sitting in the post office for 5 days. So I tried calling. I called and hang up about 9x because no one would answer the phone. I ended up driving here just to get an answer. They said they tried to deliver it…..interesting. My cameras at my house say otherwise.
First time at this location, but I was extremely impressed with how quickly they got us through the line. With three people in line in front of we only waited about five minutes and once we were at the register we were out within minutes. I also didn’t feel rushed, everyone was polite. I may start bringing all my packages here.
UPDATE: We have been here several more times to mail our packages and every time it has been wonderful. Absolutely recommend.
I tried calling the office today before they closed and it just kept ringing. We have been waiting for a package and a specific letter for two days now so I went to go track the package and it showed that they tried coming to our house twice (yesterday and today). I’ve been home both days as well as have cameras outside of our house and no one has tried coming to our door. We also have not had a mail carrier out to our house for two days. I haven’t had this issue with our old carrier in a different location in Rocklin as well as never had this issue in Roseville. Very disappointing. Now I’m going to have to take off work to go in person to have this issue resolved.
Nobody taught them how to use a phone or they just don’t feel the need to answer it. I guess it’s common knowledge that they just don’t pick up. four days of ring, ring, ring then you get disconnected.
Trying to call the USPS. On robo hold for 40 minutes. Quit. Called back and got hung up on after 10 minutes. Trying again now. Hung up after 4:30. Trying to find out why they changed my PO Box key when I renewed on line per their email. Grrrrrrrr.
I was a little hesitant to try this post office because of the mediocre reviews. However there is ample parking, plenty of packing supplies, and I moved through the line steadily and quickly. The staff were pleasant and I was able to get in and out of the post office within five minutes.
Love this post office! Idk what everyone else is saying, but my carrier, Mark has been absolutely amazing! Always friendly and helpful when I have any questions. I wish everyone had a carrier like him! Never any problems! I always order a lot of packages, and they’re always delivered on time and in perfect condition.
Please hire more carriers like him!
This is the most helpful post office out there. They are fast and able to answer questions. These are concepts the bay area post offices don’t understand.
Would give a fat zero if I could. I have been calling all day because a package I delivered last week shows it is not in transit, they don’t answer the phone and if they do they hang up. Waited over 30 min on hold with main usps from website still no live person. Unless you get in your car and wait in line at the location forget getting any help.
I miss my post office in Cypress (90630). They had happy workers there. The workers at this location don’t smile. So serious!
Excellent service
Judging from the typical reputation of the Postal Service I was always skeptical about service here. Every time I have came though they have answered questions quickly and resolved issues.
I wanna highlight one experience I just had, so I shipped a phone to Florida, the customer paid extra for next day air as he insisted he needed it ASAP. Since I always choose USPS, I used their Priority Mail Express which was guaranteed one day. So I shipped it the next day and it said guaranteed for Wednesday, not delivered. They have a money back guarantee though.
In the process of getting a refund I discovered the cut off time is 3:15 for next day (ironic as I dropped it off at ~3:30). He said that normally they wouldn’t issue refund but would make exception. So I got my $20 back same day and was very surprised after reading about horror stories saying it takes months with tons of phone calls to get it back. It’s worth mentioning though that it does not say anywhere cut off is 3:15 for NDA. In fact even on USPS’s website I put in the zip codes and package size on price estimator and selecting up to 5:00pm yielded a next day guarantee. Confused, but I’ll just drop from 3:15 now on.
Overall very impressed, Suuk (sorry I probably spelt wrong) and the lady at the counter are very friendly and enjoy assisting you. In 6 years of eBay, selling 100s of items the postal service has only lost one package (luckily only a $5 thing, and it was during a tornado so understandable) and only been delayed (by one day at most) two or three times.
They really do a great job for the price, love USPS!
Updated Review: One star for how the older brunette lady with highlights treated my wife. After my wife had stood in line up to 5 p.m., the lady yelled at my wife that they were closed. Words were exchanged and she blamed management for not locking the doors at five p.m.
It’s situations like this that the Post Office is in the red and has no real relevance today. I know “management” will never, ever address this but that won’t stop me from commenting.
Original Review: Three stars for being an average post office. I’ve been to worst (thinking of the 20016 post office in Washington, DC) and better. No real issues. Like any post office, you’re dealing with slow lines, due to the employees and customers. (If you don’t know how you want to mail something as an adult, then you’re wrong.)
The lady today was very nice and let me throw my package into a priority mail letter to save a dollar. That was nice.
I’ll revisit my review and add/subtract stars as I get to know my post office. Thanks!
I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews but I’ve never had a bad experience here nor with my mail carrier and I get A LOT of packages delivered and picked up at my door with a smile. Always courteous and helpful.
Our postal carrier is absolutely wonderful!! Jimmy is her name. She is always friendly and helpful. She works quickly and efficiently. There have been several times when she’s come to our door to drop off a package or clarify an address to ensure it is truly our mail.
She’s truly an inspiration – always has a big beautiful smile; she is an “above and beyond great’ employee! Thanks Jimmy for your dedication and hard work – we really appreciate you!
Don’t know what’s up with the negative reviews. This location is clean, line is reasonable, and there is usually someone to help people in line (even if that person is a bit snippy). I would not go out of my way to choose a different destination.
Postal carrier for my neighborhood is rude beyond belief. He left 4 packages at my garage in full view of the street. the day before he delivered a package that had to be signed for and in trying to do so one of my dogs, a 12 pound Shih Tzu got out the front door. I realize that postal workers are subject to dogs biting but I assured him as I was trying to sign for the package and corral the dog that he would not hurt him. The following day is when the 4 boxes were left. I asked him today about why and he stated it was because of my dogs. He could have just rung the bell to alert me but that did not happen. He again was rude and now I wonder what will happen to my mail. We have had some really nice carriers in the 23 years I have lived here, this is not one of them.. He needs to take lessons on people skills.
We came in to get a passport done for our baby. We were told by first person at front desk to wait for passport clerk to come back at 12pm to see if he can accommodate us with no appt (we had called in ahead and were not advised an appt was needed). She says people have been squeezed in the schedule before so we decided to wait until noon. 12pm rolls around, no passport personnel but another staff came out to give us the run around that he will be back at 12:15pm. Waiting for over half an hour another person named Baljeet came out whom was the customer service supervisor and abruptly states “what’s your problem maam” and another run around on how her passport employee will be late and how it’s not my problem and she will not help me. I nearly wanted to cry at this point. Why is this not my problem??? My husband, baby, and I have been waiting now for almost an hour and was told that we could wait to see if there will be any openings for us. We finally see the customer service door open and what we thought was the face of hope, the passport personnel comes out at 12:30pm, Suckchain was his name but he came out with Baljeet and unfortunately both came out with irritability and rage on their faces. Much to my dismay, he was more enraged and pompous than Baljeet not letting me have in a word and constantly interjected. I just wanted to make a request to have my baby’s passport done, why are these people giving us such a hard time?! This whole ordeal took over an hour and a half and was excruciating and cringe worthy. I cannot sleep because of it and because it lives vividly in my mind, I must use my voice in hopes that changes can be made. As a customer, we deserve answers and if it cannot be met there should be a remedy in place to not let us walk out the way we had to. From the time Baljeet walked out of that door with her disgruntled demeanor, we did not feel like a customers but rather pests, belittled and treated wrong the moment we were seen, not giving us even an ounce of any benefit of the doubt. Baljeet and Suckchain clearly does not care for the customers and treats them as if they are a nuisance to them. I completely understand that things arise and customers expectations cannot always be met, but do better, be better to deal with these situations. These two staff members behavior was extremely inappropriate. Yes I am a frustrated mom who tried to get a passport done for my baby that we had everything prepared ahead of time for, give me one word of understanding, an opportunity to explain, but not one note of compassion just sheer hostility from these two. Perhaps it’s the fact that I work directly in customer service myself that I must blame these two for their actions and failure to mitigate a customers concern. Customer service representatives like these two needs quick reprimanding and remediation. If you really don’t like customers maybe direct customer service is not the right field for you.
NOTE: THIS IS THE TRIMMED VERSION, THERE’S NOT ENOUGH ROOM, TRUST ME NO ONE WOULD WANT TO LIVE THROUGH IT.
This place has forgotten who is the customer. Waiting for someone to open the pickup door is an adventure. Then you have to deal with the “service” persons attitude since you had the audacity to ring the bell.
I swear that my post mail carrier is the laziest person. They NEVER knock on my door which is literally ten steps away from where the mail box is. Instead he or she always writes a delivery notice card and sticks it in my mailbox. Even when I have filled it out and signed stating to leave my package at my house they still don’t leave it forcing me to have to not only wait longer for my package but having to drive across town and wait forever with three whining kids just to get my packages . I’m a stay at home mom and I’m ALWAYS home. My office is right next to the front door. I know for a fact that my mail carrier is lazy and refuses to do their job correctly! I’ve tried to complain about it but they just justify everything for their employee. Not even worthy of one star!
