Door Wedge

Door Wedge is a simple mechanical device used to limit or prevent door movement, and it affects how entry resistance, safety, and service decisions are evaluated in physical security work.

A Door Wedge is a wedge-shaped doorstop placed at the floor line to resist door movement by increasing friction between the wedge and the floor surface. In security discussions, the Door Wedge is usually treated as a supplemental barrier rather than a primary locking component, because the Door Wedge does not change the hardware inside the entry set.
